Thank you for sending me the newsletter, it is really, really unique. It's such a pleasure to read all the things that are in it. I really enjoy it, I am very proud of you and all the things you've included. The column Tyler (probation agent) wrote was wonderful. I hope many black people read this. I am going to spread the word because the community needs to know these things. You have something very worthy with your newsletter. You have done a lot of work. You're workign with the children, you're reaching them and giving them opportunities to express themselves. God is truly going to bless you for that. -Bertha Copper

Thank you for sending me a complimentary copy. I really enjoyed reading it. May God continue to richly bless you. -Charlotte Potts

About Us
Started October 1, 2005
O.V.A.A.began as an African American bi-monthly newsletter intended for but not limited to the African American community. It has evolved into much more than that. O.V.A.A.has been working hard to bridge the gap between our communities and our people.

O.V.A.A. is committed to empowering you through programs, products and services that inspire you to make an impact on your community.

Our first event was the And A Child Shall Lead Them, youth lock-in.We co-hosted the event with Mt. Olive A.M.E.Church in Worton, MD.

Given our success O.V.A.A. Publisher, Terwana Brown decided to organize and host the Daughters of H.O.P.E. Women's Seminar and Bazaar. The seminar was a blessing and will now be an annual event.
Stephanie Lindsey, Founder & Editor had the dream of publishing an African American Newspaper for her community. She shared this vision with her daughter-in-law, Terwana Brown, Co-Founder & Publisher. Brown suggested a newsletter, as she has the background and experience with dekstop publishing and graphic arts through her own printing services business and full-time position as an Administraive Assistant. Together they came up with a name and outlined the contents of the O.V.A.A.newsletter.

Brown became very ill suddenly in 1995 and used her good days to bring this vision to fruition. The community response has been tremendously blessed.Stephanie and Terwana work very hard to gather as many resources as possible for the black communities.

Terwana Brown utilizes her creative design and intuitive business skills to run her company Brown's Corner Creations. The business has developed a rapport with local churches and organizations and individuals for the quality and attention given to administration, web design, wedding coordination, conference and event planning and hosting. Brown's Corner Creations services also include web design, publication, design and printing for businesses, individuals, weddings, and special occasions. Brown has been political Campaign Administrative Assistant for 2 term County Commissioner, an Economic Development Advisory Board member and Agricultural Fair Board Event Coodinator.
